Corten steel is a low-carbon alloy steel. It widely used in architecture, the transport sector, and industrial applications, where exposed to harsh environments. very much sought after due its auto protection from corrosive environments through formation of patina (rust). The specialty formed on corten that it can self-heal itself stop spreading corrosion. Generally, steels are given protective coatings enhance resistance corrosion, wear, abrasion, etc. One popular coating techniques electroplating.
